Day 2

Date : December 1, 2021

Time : 7:00 am

Scenic en-route tour of Arusha City to Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up early in the morning for the breakfast and get ready for your safari departure to the Ngorongoro conservation area.
It is 4 hrs drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro crater.
We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch, we will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for an afternoon safari tour.
Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. Later drive to Angata Camps Ngorongoro for dinner and sleep.

Day 3

Date : December 1, 2021

Time : 7:00 am

Ngorongoro to Ndutu area

After breakfast, we will head to the Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife.
We arrive in time for lunch at our special camp, and after lunch, we will do an afternoon game drive in the Ndutu area.
A striking characteristic of this area is the stunning acacia woodland, which is immediately surrounded by the short grass plains. Within this wooded area is Lake Ndutu – one of the Rift Valley’s soda lakes. At the height of the wildebeest migration, and when heavy rains have fallen, often lines of wildebeest can be seen crossing the lake. Accompanying the wildebeest are large numbers of zebra and Thomson gazelles. Tanzania is spoilt because of migration. No other African country has a game like it. In the dry season, the game around Ndutu is much like game viewing in any of the southern African countries. Later we drive to Angata camps Ndutu for dinner and sleep.

Day 4

Date : December 1, 2021

Time : 8:00 am

Ndutu to Serengeti Park

After breakfast, we head towards the central Serengeti National Park, also known as the Seronera. We descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.
We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Accommodation at Angata Serengeti camps

Day 5

Date : December 1, 2021

Time : 7:00 am

Serengeti full day game drive

You have a number of options on this day. One, you can choose to take the early morning game drive and come back to the camp for brunch and break or ride a balloon on this magnificent park (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement), floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.
Whatever you choose above, you will continue with a full-day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. The majority of the wildebeest migration normally passes through the Seronera in late November to middle November, when they migrate from Kenya’s Masai Mara in the north to the Ndutu area in the south. The migration then passes through this area again in April when they move west to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park. The Seronera area is also an ideal starting point to visit the eastern and southern short-grass plains of the Serengeti National Park.

The duration of an ideal Tanzania safari can take between 5 to 10 days, to ensure you hit all the top spots on your safari. The length though can depend on how long you'd like to stay and enjoy a specific place/hotel/park on your itinerary

It's okay to ask questions of your guides. ...
Bring a good DSLR camera and a high-quality zoom lens. ...
If you can, bring a back-up camera in case your DSLR goes on the fritz. ...
Anti-malarial medication gives you CRAZY dreams. ...
Ticks. ...
Bring extra camera batteries.

Basically, there's no one better than the other here, both Serengeti and Masai Mara are amazing safari destinations. Masai Mara is probably slightly more concentrated (year-long) from a wildlife point-of-view, but Serengeti has mind-blowing vastness. There are pros and cons to going on safari in both.

The best time to visit Tanzania is from July to October when the country is at its driest. This coincides with the migration river crossings, however, all the parks offer amazing wildlife sightings at this time as the grasses and bush are at their least dense.

Jeans are a must-have when it comes to what to wear on safari! You'll also want to have a comfortable pair of pants that you can wear around the campsite at night. Safari Packing Tip: Make sure you're packing light. You should need no more than 5 pairs of safari pants.

If you can only spend three to four days on safari, it's probably not worth the travel and cost. ... Since every single day and hour is unique on an African safari, the more time you have to explore and see what the wildlife has to offer, the better

Ngorongoro crater is well-known for its high concentration of wildlife worldwide with its per capita being the highest compared to Serengeti national park

Towns and cities are more liberal about shorts than villages but the general rule is that you avoid wearing shorts to avoid offending the local people, whether in a town or a village

Avoid black and dark blue clothing (both colors attract tsetse flies), and leave bright-white items at home; safari parks are often dusty, and white clothes may get dingy. You want to see wildlife on safari, not look like it!

Part of Tanzania's northern circuit, Tarangire is often visited together with the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater, usually starting in Arusha. From Arusha, it's a two-hour drive to the park entrance. This is the hot, dry season.

Regions in Tanzania's mainland consume different foods. Some typical mainland Tanzanian foods include wali (rice), ugali (maize porridge), nyama choma (grilled meat), mshikaki (marinated beef), samaki (fish), pilau (rice mixed with a variety of spices), biriyani, and ndizi-nyama (plantains with meat).

The Serengeti encompasses Serengeti National Park and a number of protected game reserves and conservation areas maintained by the governments of Tanzania and Kenya. The region hosts the largest mammal migration in the world and is a popular destination for African safaris.

Tea is the most popular drink in Tanzania with the locals preferring chai tea. Coffee is another favourite and is often sold by street vendors. Local beers include Kibo Gold, Serengeti Lager and Tusker, while mbege is a beer made from bananas.
